I desperately wanted cake, but was not interested in having a huge one lying about taunting me. Lots of things seem to be lying about taunting me of late. My husband and I bought a home 11 years ago and in that time we have managed to fill it with so much stuff that we both feel a bit trapped.
We started the great purge of 2018 approximately 6 months ago and it has been slow going. So slow that we both tend to collapse in a heap of frustration after a day of cleaning. Because it feels like nothing was purged at all. But I had an epiphany today, I am bringing it all back to the cake, it took 11 years to get here. We are not going to do this all in a few months. Tiny bites, are still bites and when we get near the end it's gonna taste so sweet. Just like this damn cake!
